GRAPES: Sangiovese grosso
Region: Tuscany
Area: Montalcino
Altitude: 250-350 m a.s.l.
Vineyards: 11ha divided in two parts, both cultivated using the bilateral cordon cultivation system
Soil: mixed clay, very rich in skeleton
Harvest: manual harvest in perforated crates, mid to end of September, with meticulous selection at the sorting table
Fermentation: with indigenous yeasts in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks, long maceration on the skins with frequent pump-overs.
Ageing: 8 months in Slavonian oak barrels selected by Stockinger
ning: 6 months of bottle refinement before market release
Alcohol: 13.5%
Color: intense ruby red color, clear
Nose: Large and persistent, with fruity notes well blended with hints of the wood in which the wine aged


Rosso di Montalcino DOC - Casanuova delle Cerbaie

  • Produced from selected Sangiovese grapes and aged for at least 8 months in large oak barrels, this balanced, medium bodied wine offers rich aromas, plenty of dark fruits and good structure. With mild acidity, it will pair well with cold cuts and heartier Tuscan dishes.
