This family run estate now managed by the 2 Cesani daughters, finds itself in a unique terroir allowing Vernaccia to thrive in volcanic, mineral rich soils. They pride themselves in farming organically and strategically choosing low yields to produce wines of highest quality and authenticity.

  • Montechiaro – Rosato (Rosè)

10 hectares of vineyards strategically located on fertile soil with ample sun exposure in the areas of Montechiaro, Monteriggioni and Castiglion Alto. Capitalizing on the unique beauty and quality of Siena’s hills, small scale organic production prioritises authenticity, quality and flavor in its final product. This rosè is made from 100% manually harvested Sangiovese.

  • Il Poderino – Chianti Classico

Situated in the heart of Chianti on rocky soils, this small, family run, historic winery is located between the Black Rooster and Monteriggioni. Wines are carefully produced and released on the market when close to peak.

Flavour Characteristics: Blackberry, Strawberry, Cherry, Pepper, Herbs, Oak

  • Campo Corto - Curiale IGT (Super Tuscan)

One of the smaller Tuscan wineries with under 1 hectare of vineyards, an average of only 500-800 bottles of IGT and 2000 of Chianti Classico are produced annually. This Super Tuscan combines sangiovese and merlot aged for 24 months in oak barriques.

Flavour Characteristics: ripe cherry, plum, blackberry, fig, violet, leather, coffee, cocoa

  • Cantina De Ricci – Nobile di Montepulciano

A very old historical winery in the centre of Montepulciano with 30 hectares of vineyards situated in 3 of the most suitable areas of Montepulciano’s territory: Ascianello, Nottola (Croce) and Fontecarino.  Production combines technology with tradition, all the while pursuing a final product true to its typical nature.

Flavour Characteristics: aged red fruits, cherry, plum, smoky, earthy oak

  • Casanuova della Cerbaie – Brunello di Montalcino

Located beneath the town of Montalcino, with vineyards extending over the prestigious hills of Montosoli, Casanuova della Cerbaie winery prides itself on quality over quantity. Clay soil and calcareous rocks, along with an entirely manual wine production allows for an annual creation of 30,000 bottles of fragrant high-quality Brunello.
